Coprides Environmental Consulting conducts specialist work and environmental monitoring using statistically interpretable invertebrate and ecological surveys. As the Scarabaeinae, or true dung beetles, are strongly influenced by environmental changes, are easily surveyed and occur virtually everywhere, I place emphasis on them (but, I am also looking at any other relevant terrestrial invertebrate taxon) as indicators of environmental health. I can also provide a species list of the Scarabaeinae fauna occurring in a specific area.
Currently I am busy exploring the potential of non‑lethal monitoring of dung beetles using eDNA metabarcoding. This method has the potential to be faster and more cost effective.
